Backlash accelerates public health leaders’ exodus
At least 181 public health leaders have resigned, retired or been fired since April. An investigation by The Associated Press and Kaiser Health News also found that lawmakers in 24 states have crafted legislation to weaken public health powers. (Dec. 15)
