CDC: At least 13,500 monkeypox cases in 49 U.S. states
The number of monkeypox cases in the U.S. has been growing, with over 13,500 reported as of August 17, U.S. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said. This represents more than a third of the global total of 39,000 cases.
