Stocks end down sharply; investors fret over economy

Wall Street ended sharply lower on Thursday as investors fretted over the economy. Tech heavyweights Apple and Nvidia slumped more than 4%. The Nasdaq sank to near its lowest level of 2022 while the S&P 500 touched nearly two-year lows.
