Teacher passes guide dog legacy to students
When Marybeth Hearn was 10, she raised her first guide dog. More than 50 years later, the now-retired teacher has trained dozens more and mentored generations of students in raising 170 dogs to assist blind and visually impaired people. (Jan. 7)
